Natasha Rector, LCSW- BIPOC therapist for women in Hawaii and Washington State

Meet Your Therapist- Natasha Rector, LCSW/LICSW

Hello, I'm glad you're here. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but if you're looking for someone who truly gets it, you've come to the right place. As a licensed clinical social worker, I bring both personal and professional experience to this work — and when you enter into therapy with me, this is a genuinely judgment-free zone.

As a bicultural, first-born, eldest daughter, BIPOC, and military spouse, I know what it feels like to carry the weight of the world — or more accurately, the weight of other people's expectations. And when perfection and high standards have been ingrained in you from an early age, it's hard not to internalize those expectations and place them upon yourself.

My passion is working with women who are ready to stop the juggling act. I'm here to help you slow down, cut through the noise, and take a closer look at that voice in the back of your head that keeps you up at night. The truth is, we are not meant to do it all — and definitely not alone. If you're ready to take the next step, hit the 'Connect' button and let's chat.

My Approach

I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and have been practicing for the past four years working with women navigating anxiety, burnout, and major life transitions.

My work is grounded in a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, these approaches help us understand the patterns and beliefs that are keeping you stuck, explore how your past may be shaping your present, reconnect you with the parts of yourself that have been pushed aside, and build a more intentional, fulfilling life — on your terms.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I understand the unique pressures women of color face — in their careers, their families, and the spaces they navigate every day — and I create a space where all of that can be brought to the table without explanation or apology.

“Slow living isn't about determining how little we can live with – it's about working out what we simply can't live without.”
